Registered Massage Therapist

Audrey graduated from the 3000 h​our Registered Massage Therapy program at VCMT. Born and raised in Vancouver, she grew up being active in various sports such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, figuring skating and horseback riding, In recent years, she’s added Muay Thai and BJJ to the list. Having the opportunity to dabble in different sports made her appreciate how profound the human body really is especially seeing how each body reacts and adapts to injury as well as recovery during rehabilitation.

Audrey is interested in working all along the kinetic chain to help achieve better function and reduce pain. Whether patient concern is general maintenance/stress reduction, injury prevention or rehabilitation, Audrey is committed to not only addressing patient pain/concerns but also empowering them to better understand their condition and working together with them as a team to help achieve their goals effectively in the long run so they can go back to doing what they love doing.

When not in the clinic, you can find Audrey at the gym, playing sports or going on adventures with her puppy Koda.

Trina Leclair graduated from the 3000 hour program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2003, and has spent the majority of those years practicing in Richmond.

​

Her treatment style is deep tissue massage with a rehabilitative focus. She has had great success in treating a variety of common injuries, pains, and pathologies such as frozen shoulder, migraine headaches, sciatica/pseudo sciatica, thoracic outlet syndrome, tendonitis, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, general back pain, sports injuries, stress, compartment syndrome, whiplash and common injuries associated with motor vehicle accidents, to name a few. She also has experience with, and enjoys treating for pregnancy related issues.

Trina gets great reward out of improving the quality of life for her patients and getting to know each one of them personally.

When not at work Trina enjoys occupying her time staying fit, and spending time with friends and family.​

Leanne has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist in Richmond since graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1991. She has been committed to continued education, attending workshops and further training, as well as completing undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of British Columbia, while practicing as a RMT. She strives to create a compassionate and collaborative environment for her clients.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, researching, hiking, going to the gym, and having a good laugh whenever possible.

Tom graduated from the 3000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program at VCC, where he was selected as the class valedictorian. Before beginning his career as an RMT, Tom served eight years in the Army as part of an elite forward surgical team. He later dedicated seven years as a surgical recovery coordinator to organ donation at B.C. Transplant in Vancouver and Trillium Gift of Life Network in Toronto.

 

Driven by a passion for improving the lives of others, Tom found his calling in massage therapy. His approach combines technical proficiency with an intuitive understanding of each client’s unique needs, tailoring each session to ensure a therapeutic and rejuvenating experience. Tom can help treat temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD) using massage techniques, including intraoral approaches, to alleviate discomfort and improve function. He enjoys working with a diverse clientele, from runners to office workers. As a runner, he is particularly passionate about helping fellow runners achieve their goals through targeted techniques.

 

Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter when not in the clinic. They love volunteering, hiking, camping, and travelling the world.

Carol completed her Master of Physiotherapy Studies from University of Queensland, Master of Science in Sports Medicine and Health Sciences from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Kinesiology from University of British Columbia. She has a large variety of experiences in rehabilitation including working with international level athletes, individuals with work or motor vehicle injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation as well as practicing in the emergency, intensive care unit (ICU), and long term care settings.

 

When she’s not at work, you might catch her watching anatomy videos while cooking up something delicious for her family or community. Alternatively, you might find her on the bike,
badminton court, or preparing for her next judo competition.

Registered Acupuncturist ​| Specialist in Neurology and Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine

 

With 16 years of clinical experience, Janet specializes in treating a wide range of neurological disorders, including Facial Nerve Paralysis, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Hemifacial Spasm, Bell’s Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, ADHD, and Post-stroke Syndrome. She has also successfully managed rare conditions like Cardio-Facio-Cutaneous Syndrome, Spinocerebellar Ataxia, and Pompe Disease.

 

As the founder of two specialty clinics in Hong Kong—the Hong Kong Neurology TCM & Laser Acupuncture Centre (2017) and the Hong Kong Cerebral-Injured Rehabilitation Centre (2015)—Janet integrates traditional Chinese medicine with modern therapies to provide effective neurological care.

 

Janet trained under Professor Zhenhuan Liu, an authority in pediatric neurology and a pioneer in children’s rehabilitation combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine. She collaborated with Dr. Frau Gerlinde Weber in Germany to research the effects of laser acupuncture on cerebral palsy. A dedicated scholar, she co-edited the Practical Pediatrics’ Acupuncture Chinese-English Contrasting Atlas (Peking University Medical Press, 2019) and published a 2023 article on traditional Chinese medicine for dementia.

 

A strong advocate for children’s health and charity work, Janet previously served as the HKSA Baseball Medical Team physician. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, she is committed to providing compassionate, holistic care.

Yoga Teacher

Sunny started her journey as a yoga instructor in 2011.  Her styles of teaching are Hatha, Yin, Flow and Iyangar along side with meditation.  In her words: "Yoga has always had a special place in my heart and has always helped me to get through difficult times". 

 

Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, Sunny's classes are suitable for all levels and each week the focus is shaped around the interest of the participants and their individual needs.  She always ensures she provides a safe and accessible practice for everyone.

 

Sunny is an avid nature lover and enjoys spending her free time hiking, painting and visiting with friends. 

Therapeutic Yoga Teacher

I have always been passionate about natural healing since I was a little girl and when I attended a yoga class in 2015 for the first time, I quickly fell in love.

 

After completing my first yoga teacher training in China in 2016 and then starting to teach yoga, I became interested in knowing more about the human body, so I completed further training on anatomy, myofascial release, breathing patterns, joints athletic, pilates, personal training and zumba. After immigrating to Canada, I took another 200 hours of yoga teacher training in 2023, and then studied Yoga Therapy. I have graduated with the Foundations of Yoga Therapy Certificate, followed by the Advanced Yoga Therapy Diploma and am now a Yoga Therapist in training, with my case study set for completion in February 2025 for C-IAYT ( Certification-International Association of Yoga Therapist) at Vancouver School of Healing Arts.

I chose to specialize in chronic pain in my yoga therapy studies, as I felt this field touched my heart the most and I was most passionate about in my studies. I now knows that I am on the right path. My greatest sense of fulfillment is seeing clients reduce their pain level and improving their quality of life. When my clients have told me that they feel as though they now have their body back, it brings me joy. As I have experienced chronic pain for over 15 years, I have compassion and deep motivation to serve this population. 

​

Outside my work and studying, I volunteer as a group facilitator with Pain BC. I love reading and camping with my dogs (as an animal lover, I have 3 dogs and 2 cats!). I love traveling locally and internationally to explore different places, cultures and tasting different foods.
